We are beyond elated to share that Magnolia Quiet Luxury, a retreat in Seattle representing the height of taste, style and quiet luxury, was shared by Curbed Seattle in a piece highlighting a collection of stellar mid-century modern homes for sale in Seattle.

As Sarah Anne Lloyd of Curbed outlines, mid-century modern design is a style that remains steadily popular and looks “especially gorgeous in the Northwest, where airy-but-minimalist designs that emphasize natural materials can give way to stunning water views and cozy woodland settings.” The boom of the aerospace industry in the Puget Sound region in the 1950s and 1960s gave way to many mid-century modern designs in our area, a collection of which are outlined in the Curbed piece.

Of the home, Lloyd writes that “every room—except the bathrooms—in this five-bedroom Magnolia home opens up to a terrace or patio, including a living room with a massive wall-of-brick fireplace that extends down a floor into a family room.” To be sure, it is difficult to find a residence affording terraces from each bedroom with a suite of walkout features that include mature gardens, an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, lawn, swim spa and craft studio.

In addition, the home underwent an extensive renovation to infrastructure and systems, with all surfaced touched by luxurious elements and thoughtful appointments, preparing it for all the comforts and requirements of today’s modern lifestyle.
