Seattle's Best Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots

The Cherry Blossoms—a staple of springtime in the Seattle region—are on track to reach peak blooming for the weekend of March 30th. "The Quad" at the University of Washington is among the most popular places for viewing the blossoms, with nearly thirty large cherry trees and thousands of pink blossoms, but it isn't the only place you can visit to get yourself into the spirit of spring.

Washington Park Arboretum

Stroll the famed Azalea Way at Washington Park Arboretum to enjoy the blossoms along a 1.5 mile walking path. There are even plenty of places to make it an afternoon with an intimate picnic.

Jefferson Park

Head to Beacon Hill and peruse the Olmsted-designed paths at Jefferson Park, marked by views of Beacon Mountain and a number of cherry trees along the way.

Green Lake

A collection of cherry trees dot the Green Lake loop, which make for a fun afternoon game as you search for the blossoms among park goers.

Kobe Terrace

The International District's Kobe Terrace is home to a collection of cherry trees that line the terrace, donated by our sister city in Kobe, Japan.

The Quad

The Japanese Cherry Blossom & Cultural Festival

From April 26th to the 28th, the Seattle Center will celebrate Japan's heritage and the changing seasons with taiko drumming, food, dance, crafts and more.
