During the end of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, a new and exciting style of home were popularized in the United States. Classically European trained architects brought a new mix of architectural styles with them when they crossed the ocean and began to work in the United States. Typically, this style of home was built for the upper class and earned the nickname “stockbroker Tudor” as their financially successful owners had frequently made their wealth in the booming 1920’s stock market.
